Supporting neurodiversity

Who we are

There are different types of everything – flowers, animals, food – and of course, people. One specific aspect of human diversity is neurodiversity.

Neurodiversity is what makes around 15% of the UK population unique. Neurodivergent people think differently, their brains work in different ways, and they add new and exciting perspectives to our society. But being neurodivergent can also come with its challenges, especially in the world of education and the workplace.

At Appleton Educational Services, we offer support, assessments, teaching, coaching and training for children, adults and educational professionals. With this support, neurodivergent children and adults are empowered to identify their strengths, combat and reframe their challenges and be enabled to reach their full potential. Through our training, educators are more confident in their understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and are better equipped to meet the different needs of the children in their care.

We have over thirteen years of teaching experience in both primary and secondary settings, and a wealth of experience supporting the learning journeys of all students.

Our highly qualified, specialist teachers have years of valuable experience teaching and supporting neurodiversity among children.

In addition to this, at Appleton Educational Services our experienced trainer is able run bespoke training on supporting neurodiversity and SEND for whole school INSETs, shorter or twilight sessions and parent events.
