How are lessons taught by a Specialist Teacher different from a general tutor?
Our teachers hold PGCEs and are experienced teachers, who understand the British educational system and the different curriculums across Key Stages. Our Specialist Teacher has completed a diploma in specialist teaching and has years of experience helping children with a range of learning needs including neurodiversity and SEND support.

How much do Specialist Teacher lessons cost?
This depends on the age of your child or whether you are an adult. Lesson length can also vary, as we are aware longer lessons can be too onerous for some children and adults. The lessons are bespoke and individualised. Please contact us via the contact page for prices for your personal situation.
What does an assessment entail?
A set of questionnaires will be sent out before the assessment to glean as much background information as possible. Information from your child’s school is essential but any contact is subject to parental consent and the school will not be contacted without your permission.
Standardised tests are used in the assessment to strengthen the reliability of information gathered. If communication with other professionals is necessary, again parental consent will be obtained.
If your child has a preferred writing instrument or wears glasses, these should be brought to the appointment if in a face to face setting.
